Growing up in Canon City Colorado, Shea cut his teeth in the fly fishing world on the Arkansas river at the age of 13.  Now that life and fishing has landed him in Colorado Springs, most of his free time is spent chasing trout along the South Platte river drainage and pumping out fly orders for his clients.  Gunkel’s “SPlatte” series of flies have caused quite a stir among the locals and are worth a second look when rummaging around the fly bins.

Marty is a Colorado native who has traveled the state he loves extensively. He started camping, fishing, and backpacking at a young age, which ultimately led to hunting and fly-fishing.  His first book, Fly Fisher's Guide to Colorado, hit the bookshelves in 1998 with rave reviews.  It is still in print, revised and updated several times. His DVD, Fly Fishing Colorado's Major 6 and second book, Tying Flies like a Pro, came out in 2005 and 2006 respectively.
