Fly Tying Demo: Marty Bartholomew

Marty is a Colorado native who has traveled the state he loves extensively. He started camping, fishing, and backpacking at a young age, which ultimately led to hunting and fly-fishing.  His first book, Fly Fisher's Guide to Colorado, hit the bookshelves in 1998 with rave reviews.  It is still in print, revised and updated several times. His DVD, Fly Fishing Colorado's Major 6 and second book, Tying Flies like a Pro, came out in 2005 and 2006 respectively. 

Marty has been a fly tier for over 15 years, 12 years of that as a fly tying instructor.  He has instructed fly-fishing for 9 years as well as guiding part time.  He has been a featured presenter at fly tying shows in Colorado and California and is currently on the pro staff with Ross Reels and Scott Rods.  Marty lives in Aurora, Colorado with his wife and two children.
