We fishing the Big Thompson from the town of Drake to just below Lake Estes today and life was good. The fish were eager to eat drys and nymphs throughout the afternoon. We saw plenty of anglers but there was no shortage of water for everyone. Most of the fish were small browns but we did spot some bigger trout eating emergers in the deep pools. The caddis were hatching periodically and made for good surface action.
