Last Friday, I found myself standing thigh deep in the Gunnison River just outside of Delta, in an area called Pleasure Park. In a short few hours I was able to bring some nice browns to hand. The river is starting to warm up and this is allowing for some great streamer fishing. The Gunny is starting to run a little more than its usual Gunny Green that we are use to seeing, but there is still plenty of good visability. No real surface action to speak of due to the fact we were fishing in very heavy wind. I did have some blue wing olives land on me from time to time. If you are in the area you owe it to yourself to give it a shot, its a great area to fish with a lot of quality fish.
Two things to keep in mind if you do go down are as follows.
Drive in the back side through Austin, the North Fork is running almost 800 cfs. This is a very unsafe wading situation where no one should go.
Next, watch out for rainbow spawning beds. We saw some very large reds, please watch your step we don't want them to get disturbed.

If you have a sink tip it would be ideal to help you get down to this fish due to the water level. 10 to 12 ft sink tips would be ideal
