Great late summer/fall fishing in Gunnison County for browns, rainbow, cutts, and kokanee salmon

Gunnison River - We have seen some great fishing over the past two week, as the fall fishing is here.  Salmon are running from the Blue Mesa all the way to the Roaring Judy hatchery on the East River.

high 40's to low 50's
Equipment: 

5 and 6 weights.  Use 5x to smaller dropper flies and 3x to big hoppers.  Stick with heavy stuff for the salmon, nothing less than 2x and a lot of weight.

Fly Types: 

on top - hoppers, caddis, bwo, stoneflies adults 6-10

under - soft hackle pts, baetis nymphs, small mayfly stuff, eggs, worms, and a variety of streamers
