The tension on the spool of the Galvan Brookie fly reel is preset at the factory. If more or less tension is needed it is simply adjusted by using the 1/16th allen wrench included. Insert the wrench into the set screw located on the circumference of the lower portion of the spindle, rotating until the Galvan Brookie is at the ideal spool tension.
