Gerbec's Alphlexo Crab - Umpqua Fly
Details
With adaptations from the Orvis crab, the Alphlexo is a saltwater pattern that begins to cross the line between tying and crafting. For Alec, the Alphlexo crab simultaneously solved numerous problems that he encountered as a saltwater guide in the Seychelles.
Creating a fly that was fairly light but also got down quickly, the Alphlexo created a work-around in the crab pattern department that saltwater anglers often encounter when presenting to spooky fish.
This fly was designed to target Permit, Triggerfish, and large Bonefish.
