Gearing Up For The 4th Annual Mile High 25 Tournament

It’s an exciting time of year at Anglers All. We have just recovered from our annual Clave on April 20th where we celebrated the fly shop’s 65th anniversary. 65 Years! I’ve only been here for three, but I feel like I’ve heard a lifetime’s worth of stories about the shop in that time.

Soon after the Clave, we’ll be gearing up for the 4th annual Mile High 25 multi-species fly fishing tournament in June. I’m busy sealing up the artwork for the advertising of this one-of-a-kind tournament. Now in its 4th year, the Mile High 25 has stunned brands, anglers and fishy folks from all over the country with its fresh feel and unique goal of targeting 25 species on the fly.

Registration for the Mile High 25

If you haven’t already registered, get signed up now! We have extended the early bird registration deadline until the end of the business day Friday, April 26th. After the 26th, team registration will be $300. The 2019 tournament will be June 22nd and 23rd. Just like previous years, two person teams will compete for two days to catch the most species of fish on a fly from a list of 25 eligible species. Sign up now at AnglersAll.com/Mile-High-25 or learn more at MileHigh25.com.

Changes to the 4th Annual Tournament

In 2019 we are implementing a new social media platform for the event called Cinebody. This application will usher in an era of using video, instead of photo evidence, to submit official tournament species entries. The tournament has grown, and our infrastructure needs to grow with it.

In addition to chasing the 25 species on the list, anglers will be able to upload and share video stories of their adventure throughout the two-day event for a chance to win additional prizes from our sponsors.

Getting Equipped for Two Epic Days of Fishing

The tournament will be here before you know it! It’s time to think about your team’s strategy and what you’ll need to compete. As we get geared up, here are a few items on our list:

1. Mile High 25 Registration - Get signed up!

2. Rio Versi-Leaders - Great for keeping things versatile.

3. Buffs - Necessary for two full days on the water.

4. Simms Flyweight Boots – Super light option for a backcountry fishing boot.

5. Patagonia River Salt Boots – This Danner/Patagonia collaboration is perfect for wet wading.

6. Fishpond Sushi Roll - Quickly put together an all-water scenario solution for the Mile High 25.

7. Riversmith River-Quivers – We have 2-banger and 4 banger versions in stock. Stop by the shop to take a look.

8. Fishpond Quickshot Rod Holder - Keep your second rod rigged and ready!

9. Umpqua Walkabout Fly Boxes – Keep a big arsenal of flies neatly organized.

10. Black Diamond Headlamps– You’ll need it for early morning rigging while waiting on the 6am shotgun start. Stop by the fly shop to check them out.

See You At the Starting Line

I’m already thinking about Pike, Smallies, and the exhausted look on everyone’s faces at Breckenridge Brewery on June 23rd when we host the tournament’s closing ceremony!

Once again, don’t wait to grab a partner and sign up! If you have questions, please visit us at the fly shop or give us a call at 303-794-1104. We can’t wait to see you at the tournament!
