Spring is approaching and the days are getting longer. If you’re not already thinking about fishing opportunities, you should be! We have enjoyed good fishing on local tailwaters all winter long, but spring will bring with it a new set of opportunities.
If you or someone you know is learning how to fly fish, or ready to learn, it’s time to get registered for a Fly Fishing 101 class. We offer dates every month from May through September, and registration is now open.
These classes will fill up. If you are interested in a specific date, now is the time to reserve your spot. We’re not kidding – these classes always sell out quickly. Now is the best time to have your pick from all of the available dates.
Fly Fishing 101 is an all-day class that’s interactive, hands-on, and designed to make each new angler self-sufficient on the water the very next day. No prior experience is necessary. If you’ve never picked up a fly rod, or if you’ve been a few times and want to cut down the learning curve, this is a great way to get started.
Led by instructor Doug Andrews, and held here at the fly shop in Littleton, we will cover the essential skills of fly fishing, including equipment, rigging and knots, approaching the water, assessing water conditions, basic entomology and fly selection, casting and fly presentation, as well as fly fishing etiquette.
Need one more reason to sign up? Everyone enrolled in a fly fishing class here at Anglers All receives a 15% VIP Discount on all purchases in the fly shop or online. This discount is valid from the start of your class date and extending through the next 30 days.
