One of those time-tested patterns is the Miracle Nymph, first developed by Ed Marsh. Anglers have relied on Marsh’s midge pattern to fool trout for more than 40 years.
Also the inventor of the classic Buckskin, Marsh’s minimalistic style has been the inspiration for many subsequent fly tyers. While simple and quick to tie, the slim profile of the Miracle Nymph makes it perfect for tailwater fishing – or any situation where clear water and picky trout are present.
