The crew at Anglers All has a traveling problem. We are constantly looking forward to, researching and planning our next trip and opportunity to travel with a fly rod. In our travels, we seek destinations, and lodges that we believe will give our customers an excellent opportunity to target some special species on the fly. This next destination is a great example of that.
We recently had the opportunity to make a trip down to Tarpon Caye, located about 15 miles east of Placencia, Belize in the heart of Victoria Channel, aka, Permit Alley.
Tarpon Caye has built a reputation over the past several years as a designated grand slam location, with a strong emphasis on shots at tailing Permit, as well as dawn patrols for moving Tarpon.

Aside from being a Grand Slam location the fishing program at Tarpon Caye is know for fishing the tides, not the clock. With morning starts as early as 5:30 a.m. days will start in pursuit of Tarpon just outside the lodge, circling back around to a waiting delicious breakfast a few hours later, and back out again to pole, and wade flats in search of tailing Permit. This fishery also showcases big numbers of Permit trailing Sting Rays, giving a great quantity, as well as consistent quality shots at feeding Permit.

The island and lodge experience is an intimate one with just 10 guests at a time. The guides and staff are fully focused on smooth logistics and attention to detail, creating a picturesque and detail oriented trip to the heart of Grand Slam country.

Single Anglers prices start at $3,825 for a half week, and $5,375 for the full week. And $2,550 for the half week and $3,575 for the full week based on double occupancy.
