Our 2019 Year End Recap

We didn’t choose this life on the water, it chose us. As we load our rods in anticipation of this year to come, we couldn’t help but backcast into 2019 with admiration towards our accomplishments, both inside the shop and on the water.

Within the past year, our Anglers All tribe consisting of customers and employees, has both traveled the globe and fished right in our own backyard in search of “the tug.” It’s no wonder our non-angling friends and relatives think we’re all a little crazy for fish. These swimmingly creatures have caused heartache, headache and pure nirvana. From South Platte River browns and bows, to jungle born and bred Peacock Bass, our associates and friends have truly gone the distance in 2019.

From infrastructure updates to our Littleton Colorado based fly shop, to personal best catches, the Anglers All family has worked hard all year, on and off the water. We make a serious effort to keep our store filled with the best brands. From household names in fly fishing to up-and-coming boutique brands we work around the clock to keep the shop organized, merchandised and well stocked! In the Fall of 2019 we completed an interior re-model to modernize the east wall in the shop,  which is now responsible for showcasing some great new apparel options from  Free Fly, Mountain Khaki, Fish Hippie, Rep Your Water and Howler Brothers. During the last year we have kept a tight-loop focus on customer success stories and strong reputable service for every angler. It’s a humbling and rewarding experience to help an angler in the store, on the phone or online. It’s even more satisfying to learn later on that he or she had a fantastic day on the water. It gives us immense pride to stand back and watch anglers reach new milestones with a fly rod in hand.

We strive every day to do business in the same manner in the shop as we do through the online store. We believe there is no reason why we can't deliver anglers the same level of service in our store as online across the world. We hang our hat on, consistent communication about your order, honest advice and service along with premium shipping options to every nook and cranny on the globe you can think of. Some of our global connections have been around for years. This is the case with New Zealand based angler, Mark Cockburn. Mark spent time on the water in New Zealand in 1992 with the original owners of the shop, Jim & Jane Poor. Mark recently reached back out from the other side of the globe by way of the ONLINE STORE to replace his lucky fishing hat and a fly line. We were stoked to connect with him after more than a few decades and he was pleased to see we were still thriving.

In April we hosted our annual "Trout Clave.” This event is a unique customer appreciation party and in 2019, the clave marked the 65th anniversary of Anglers All in business. We raised money for our local Trout Unlimited chapter, premiered the film “Artifishal” by Patagonia, co-hosted a Spey Casting class led by Simon Gawesworth and enjoyed rocky mountain folk music from Canyon Collected. As we cracked cold ones with our friends and customers we were reminded once again why we do what we do!

With the copious amount of snowpack we had here in the Rocky Mountains for 2019 the Anglers All tribe fishing hard. From the high-country alpine lakes to local tributaries and rivers, down to the saltwater estuaries that benefit from this precipitation, it was nice to see clean, clear flowing water. Our staff at Anglers All is made up of anglers from all walks of life. From saltwater obsessed 11wt grasping individuals to glacier fed high altitude stomping characters, the crew at our shop works hard and fishes hard all year!
