Last summer, Anglers All media manager, Davis James, had the opportunity to visit the folks at Simms Fishing in Bozeman, Montana. Davis sat down with senior director, Diane Bristol to get her perspective on the FISH IT WELL slogan and take an inside look into the world at Simms.
“It’s a bigger picture of what gets us up and here in the morning,” Diane explained of the FISH IT WELL campaign. She highlighted a company culture that values hard work and a commitment to world-class fishing gear, balanced with a need to get out of the office and pursue that passion on the water.
Here at Anglers All, our customers have been sharing what FISH IT WELL means to them. Clark Copeland, an eCommerce Customer from Oklahoma sent us this photo of a big, hopper-eating brown trout from the White River in Arkansas. Clark said this about what FISH IT WELL means to him:
“Leave it all on the water. But most of all, leave it better than you found it.”
Wesley Jessee is an eCommerce Customer from West Virginia. He shared this photo of a streamer-eating brown trout from a Lake Ontario tributary in New York. Wesley is proudly wearing his new Simms G4 Pro Boots in Felt. When asked what FISH IT WELL means to him, Wesley had this to say:
"To me, it’s showing the same respect to your targeted species of fish that you would to your closest friends and family. Respecting nature and all that it has to offer because this land will be here long after I'm gone"
Bryan Burns, a long time customer from Durango sent in a photo of a beautiful Animas River Brown. Notice his favorite fishing partner on his back. She is 2 and loves being on the water with her Dad.
Bryan chimes in, "Fish It Well" to me means to do everything to the best of your ability. If it's worth doing, do it well. And make it better then you found it!
