Our Fly Fishing 101 Classes are scheduled on Saturdays starting in the spring and running into early fall. This course is an interactive, hands-on experience, designed to introduce new anglers to the world of fly fishing.
We will learn the essential elements of angling on our local Colorado waters, offering a full range of skills and insights. This includes equipment, rigging and knots, approaching the water, assessing water conditions, basic entomology and fly selection, casting and fly presentation, as well as fly fishing etiquette.
There is no prior experience needed. Our instructor, Doug Andrews, will demonstrate the skills and information needed to pick up this wonderful sport. Our goal is that each new angler will be self-sufficient on the water by the very next day.
