Our 69 Year History

In 1954 Jim Poor started a small tackle shop in the basement of the Littleton Motel called Mountain View Tackle. At that time, Littleton was not a suburb of Denver. It was a small Front Range town on the South Platte River.

In its early years, Mountain View was a general tackle store, serving conventional anglers and fly fisherman alike. Jim was an innovator of small flies and became a key figure in the development of fly fishing in Colorado and across the Rocky Mountain West.

In 1969, the city of Littleton relocated Mountain View tackle in order to build Arapahoe Community College. With a new location just a mile up the road, the name was changed to Anglers All and the legend was born. Anglers All is still in the same building today.

Jim and his wife Jane continued to own and operate the store until the mid 1980’s when Bill Shappell and Terry Nicholson took the reigns. Eventually, Terry and his wife Lori became the sole owners and it stayed that way until 2009. Anglers All has been an exclusive fly fishing shop for decades.

In 2009 Chris Keeley took over for Terry and Lori. Anglers All has resided in the same location since 1969, the building has undergone some improvements over the years, from expansions in footprint and in height, to most recently, solar power and new signage with the new Anglers All logo.

In the spring of 2023, we opened the Boathouse at Anglers All. This freestanding showroom sits just behind the Fly Shop building and houses a dazzling array of watercraft and accessories. With a focus on non motorized fishing specific boats, and personal watercraft we are truly a one stop shop for floating fly fishing enthusiasts. We showcase fully built rafts, pontoons, float tubes, kayaks and paddle boards from Outcast, NRS and Boulder Boat Works. You can quite literally drive in with an empty trailer and be on the water just hours later with a new boat! Beyond the boat displays you will find all must have and nice to have accessories for your days on the water. Paddles, oars and safety equipment from Sawyer, Cataract, Carlisle, NRS, Outcast, Down River Equipment and Astral are stocked. You will also find coolers from Orca, portable fire pits from Lavabox, rod carriers from Riversmith and Trxsle and every dry box, drop bag, valve, strap, oar stop and repair kit needed to get you out enjoying your favorite river. The Boathouse at Anglers All is open Tuesday through Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm. Closed Sundays and Mondays.

In our Fly Shop retail store you will find some of the very best angling gear on the market and everything you need to fish here at 5211 S Sante Fe Drive, in Littleton Colorado, just 10 miles south of Denver. The fly tying materials section alone takes up a quarter of the store and offers a vast selection of vises, tools, hooks and materials you will only find at Anglers All. The rod racks and reel cases are loaded with trusted brands: Sage, Winston, Orvis, Scott, Redington, TFO, G.Loomis, Bauer, Abel, Ross, Hatch, Galvan, Lamson, and Tibor. Anglers All carries a huge selection of waders, boots and accessories from Patagonia, Simms, Orvis, Umpqua and Fishpond in both Men’s and Women’s fits.

The second floor of the shop houses the Anglers All classroom, where fly fishing, fly tying and entomology classes are taught by a team of in-house and outside instructors.

AnglersAll.com, the online store, is run from the office upstairs and operates uniquely in that the online inventory matches in-store inventory in real time, so you can be sure anything listed online is actually available. Every online customer is treated as if they walked through the front door, regardless of what corner of the country they are in.

The Anglers All destination fly fishing travel business also coordinated from the second floor offices. With multiple destinations, in the US and across the world, we host and confidently send anglers out to pursue their angling dreams in both salt and fresh water.

The team at Anglers All is proud of the history of the shop and the level of customer service they offer to anyone who walks in the door, calls, or shops online. No matter the year, the water conditions, or the species of fish, Anglers All has provided anglers with the best information and equipment for 60 years and counting.

Come by and see us. We would love to meet you, hear about your past and future fishing trips, and share our knowledge and our gear with you. We are located on the frontage road at the southwest corner of south Santa Fe and Belleview. We are open 7 days a week.

Chris Keeley, Owner

Chris became the Owner of Anglers All in 2009. Coming out of the banking industry, Chris decided to make a positive lifestyle change. But instead of spending his time fishing, Chris is now responsible for paying the bills and keeping us all employed. Chris hails from the great state of North Dakota, but Denver has been his home for many years now.

Jimmy "Bags" Juliana, General Manager

When it comes to walk wading our Colorado rivers, Jimmy leaves the rest of us in his dust, except for his favorite fishing partner, and four legged pal, River. You will see these two bouncing from hole to hole hooking up early and often. While he is fairly new to this fly fishing thing, Jimmy finds ample time on the water perfecting his craft. When he is here at the shop, he helps customers find the best fly gear options for their needs, helps Rachel with fill in purchasing, all the while being known to crush a few doughnuts for breakfast. He is earned the nickname Jimmy "Bag O' Doughnuts", or "Bags" for short

Blake Katchur, Manager, Sales & Marketing

Blake, a Colorado native, has shopped at Anglers All since he was a beginner fly fisherman at age 7. Now a few decades later he returns to run marketing and sales for the Anglers All locations and online store. You will also see Blake working as a Winston Fly Rods Pro, and leading trips to Patagonia, South America as it has quickly become his home away from home. With years of marketing, eCommerce experience, and his background in business, added to his passion for all things fly fishing and the outdoors, make him a true asset to our team.

Ben Baxter, Shipping and Receiving

Ben works hard and fishes even harder. After his work is done running the warehouse and handling all in coming and out going products, Ben finds time behind his fly tying bench. Ben recently became an Umpqua Signature Fly Tyer! Look out for his Bearded Baetis to hit fly bins across the country in 2023. In his words, there is nothing better then catching a fish on your own fly. We tend to agree, and we are glad Ben is on our team!

Rachel Therkildsen, Lead Purchasing

Hand Rachel a fly rod, and a puck of flies on any body of water and she will catch fish! Rachel came to us from an industry job high in the mountains. With her knowledge and enthusiasm for Colorado, fly fishing and merchandising she does an amazing job setting up the store. On top of all that she puts her purchasing and analytic skillset to work filling the shop with the best gear available for our customers. We are lucky to have her!

Johnnie Trujillo,  Manager, Boathouse

Streamers and boats. Johnnie brings to the table an extensive knowledge of fishing watercraft and of big flies and the fish that eat them. While he grew up in Colorado he credits much of his fly fishing knowledge and boatsmanship to the years he spent on the Green River. We are excited to have him on working hard on the new Anglers All Boathouse.

Jeff Perry, eCommerce

While the story of Jeff learning to streamer fish didn't actually involve a hockey helmet for protection, it very well could have! Jeff grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and converted himself to a fly angler while chasing brook trout in the areas tributary streams. With a background in retail and finance, and an skill for excellent customer service, Jeff joins the eCommerce team and is excited to make a lasting impact.

Daryl Eakins, Fly & Materials Purchasing, Retail

If we added up the hours Daryl spent pouring over our fly tying materials section over the last few years as a customer, it was only a matter of time until he earned a paycheck! Known for his extreme attention to detail and out of the box fly design for Carp and other tough to catch species as well as his never ending energy (often fueled by a double espresso) we are lucky to have him! Daryl spends his days here diving into our fly bins, bringing in the newest designs and materials and sharing his knowledge of the Denver South Platte with our cusomers. He is easy going, works hard and is always helpful.

Drew McCoy,  Shipping and Receiving

Believe it or not fly fishing for trout was Drew's second fishing love. Muskie fishing was his first. You will see him spending his days off chasin trout all around the state and floating its rivers, but ask him about 12 inch Muskie flies and his smile will get a little bigger. We apprecaite Drew's attention to detail and work ethic as he makes a big impact on our warehouse work flow.
