We have some incredible fishing opportunities on deck this summer. Both are adventures you can only experience here in Colorado, and both are adventures you can drive to, skipping airports. First, we’ll be setting off down the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. If you’ve never experienced it, put the Gunnison Gorge on your list. Next, we’ll be taking you to the high alpine waters of the Flat Tops Wilderness.
Both trips meet social distancing guidelines outlined by Governor Polis. If you’ve got an itch for adventure, here are two trips that can offer a cure:
The Gunnison Gorge
This is an iconic Colorado fly fishing trip. Anglers will enjoy 3 days of guided fishing and 2 nights on a camp float trip down the Black Canyon.
We have five spots available for our upcoming prime dates on the Gunnison. This trip is set to launch on July 10th. This timeframe has offered reliable flows in past years. This year, flows have already stabilized at prime dry fly levels.
This trip is priced at $1,815 per angler, and we have space available for singles or doubles. Our guides on the Gunnison Gorge float have implemented strict cleaning and social distancing standards at camp.

The Flat Tops Wilderness
The Flat Tops Wilderness Area is home to hundreds of lakes and hundreds of miles of trout streams. Here you’ll find some of the state’s most spectacular high country fly fishing. We have prime dates available for two upcoming trips to the Flat Tops Wilderness.
First, we are hosting a trip July 27th through the 30th. This is a true wilderness camp experience. Guests will enjoy canvas wall tents, meals over an open fire and some of Colorado’s best high country fishing for 4 days and 3 nights.
Next up, we’re offering a wilderness camp trip August 7th through the 10th. We have four spots available on these dates. August in the high country means excellent hopper fishing on alpine lakes and rivers!
These trips are priced at $1,900 per angler. Groups with a minimum of three anglers may reserve the wilderness camp with no other guests. Our guides here have taken extra steps to meet social distancing guidelines – but the remote wilderness nature of these trips certainly makes that easier.
Beyond our reserved dates at the end of July, we can book custom trips throughout the summer months. In addition to the wilderness camp, anglers have the option of a lodge-based trip and accessing wilderness waters on horseback.
