We are thrilled to announce the opening of The Boathouse, a new building and showroom that was purpose-built to display fly fishing watercraft, boating accessories and fishing gear.
Whether you’re planning a big float trip, purchasing your first boat, gearing up to fish your favorite mountain lakes, casting to tailing carp on a local reservoir, or anything in between – we have you covered. With an impressive number of watercraft built, on display and ready for purchase, you can quite literally, bring your empty trailer and be on the water that same afternoon!
The Boathouse is now open on the existing Anglers All campus, behind the main fly shop building. We removed an old, inefficient structure in order to build a high-efficiency building that was specifically designed for boats, rafts, float tubes, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards, as well as a host of other gear to help get you out on the water.
“Anglers All has been a part of the fishing community on the Front Range for 69 years,” said owner, Chris Keeley. “The shop has done a lot of growing and improving since Jim and Jane Poor first opened the doors in 1954. Now, we have the opportunity to bring something totally unique to Denver.”
Our crew is excited to have a space where we can show our customers these boats and have a real, hands-on experience. For years, we’ve helped our customers special-order float tubes, rafts and other boating equipment. But there are very few places in Colorado – or anywhere for that matter – where anglers can see these types of products in person, completely put together, and ready for the water.
“Of course we will continue to make special orders for customers at The Boathouse,” said Boathouse Manager, Johnnie Trujillo. “But for many of us here on the Front Range and well beyond, this will allow us to come in, put our hands on some boats and have the ability to purchase one on the spot. How many other places can you go look at boats, and be on the water later that day?”
The Boathouse at Anglers All will carry products from trusted companies like NRS, Outcast, Aire, Sawyer and Cataract. We are excited to work with local Colorado companies like Boulder Boat Works, Down River Equipment and Fishpond. Plus, we’ve brought in some exciting new brands that will be new to many of our customers, including Astral, Twelve Weight, Lava Box, Trout Maps and Orca Coolers. “In addition to providing customers with a way to see boats in person, The Boathouse is a part of our ongoing effort to reduce the environmental footprint of the business,” Chris added. “The new high-efficiency building will be solar-powered and totally self-sufficient.”
The new building was designed with a single-pitch, south-facing roof for solar performance. New Rivian EV charging stations have been installed in the parking lot. Eventually, the Boathouse will produce enough power to meet its own energy needs. It will power the new electric vehicle charging stations. It will even provide power to the main fly shop building next door.
“Over the years, Anglers All has built a reputation for providing great customer service, expert advice and the best products in fly fishing,” Keeley said. “Even more recently, we’ve worked hard to prove that you can be profitable in a retail business and still have a small environmental impact.”
