Exploring New Waters in Patagonia with Cinco Rios Lodge

By Andrew Pulford, Travel Coordinator

Deep in the Patagonia landscape lies one of our favorite destinations. Cinco Rios Lodge is the epitome of diversity for trout. From large lakes connecting to glacier fed rivers, to temperate rain forests, and even spring creeks on the working ranch “Estancia Del Zorro”, anglers can experience a mind-boggling diversity of landscapes and waters.

Over the years, we have researched and timed our trips based on the famed Cantaria beetle hatch which happens every other year. This exciting hatch gives us the opportunity to throw big dry fly beetle patterns to aggressive rising brown and trophy rainbows.

The outstanding staff at Cinco Rios welcomes all explorers and anglers alike. Most guests stay at the main lodge, which offers beautiful landscapes and luxury accommodations. But if you are looking for a once in a lifetime, uncharted exploration, owner Sebasian Galilea and his team have recently introduced an innovative fleet of mobile, backcountry fishing vehicles.

They call these new vehicles, “Game Changers”, and they’re opening up new possibilities on the Patagonian fly fishing frontier.

Thanks to the new "Game Changers", anglers may now travel in style to some of Patagonia’s most remote and least visited waters. Cinco Rios has taken Patagonia exploration to the next level. With a knack for hospitality, the Cinco Rios crew handles all logistics and gear, making this the ultimate adventure.

We couldn’t be more proud to be working with such an innovator in the world of destination angling. You can check out the recent video here.
